Sumanth Polikepahad, D.V.M., Ph.D.,  "Dr. Poli" - Veterinarian

VCare Animal Clinic (VAC) is the manifestation of Dr. Poli's dream to provide high-quality veterinary care to the beloved pets of Cypress and Katy. Dr. Poli's journey began with obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary sciences and animal husbandry (BVSc & AH) in India, followed by immigrating to the USA to pursue higher education. After earning a Ph.D degree in Veterinary Medical Sciences from Louisiana State University, Dr. Poli continued to hone his skills in the basic sciences at Baylor College of Medicine while undergoing extensive veterinary clinical training. This included multiple externships and internships at renowned institutions such as Ohio State University's School of Veterinary Medicine, as well as volunteering at small animal clinics in the Houston and Missouri City areas. After passing a rigorous license examination and attaining the DVM degree, Dr. Poli worked at a Banfield corporate Veterinary hospital before finally realizing his dream of starting an independent clinic where he could apply his extensive knowledge and experience. Dr. Poli's dedication and passion for animal care is apparent in his compassionate and detail-oriented approach to his practice. In his free time, Dr. Poli enjoys reading philosophy and non-fiction, playing chess, and spending quality time with his family.
